Founded in 1988, Mick Rich Contractors is a licensed commercial building contractor in New Mexico and Arizona. Specializing in medium scale commercial building projects in and through all phases of construction, Mick Rich Contractors performs new construction, building renovations, special unique construction, tilt-up construction, and design-build, as well as the provision and installation of pre-engineered buildings.

In addition, to better serve our clients' needs, we have a service department for small repairs and alterations. Mick Rich Contractors employs a quality team of estimators, project managers, superintendents and job foremen with a full complement of skilled craftsmen. As all employees are cross-trained, every phase of the construction project is completed with the greatest of efficiency and speed. In addition, large inventory of equipment, tools and vehicles aids in the proficiency of our work. Mick Rich Contractors will commit to provide the necessary resources to successfully complete all construction projects regardless of size or location.

We are interested in all construction projects and give assurance that each job receives individual care from the start of the project to its final completion. Providing a safe working environment for our employees and subcontractors is of the utmost importance. With the assistance of a safety officer from a major insurance company, a written safety program was established and approved by both the Los Alamos National Laboratory and Kirtland Air Force Base. As the scope of work changes and different safety issues arise, revisions to the plan are made and implemented. Our employees also have the opportunity to undergo various safety programs at Los Alamos National Laboratory. These include but are not limited to nuclear waste safety, roof safety programs and secured area clearance. Also, training for equipment operation is implemented. In addition to undergoing safety classes, each employee is trained in Adult First Aid and CPR, renewing certification on an annual basis.

Furthermore, the superintendents hold weekly safety issue meetings, addressing specific issues pertinent to the job at hand. In 2001 and 2002, Mick Rich Contractors earned the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Gold STEP Award due to minimal safety infractions and minimal injuries on the job. Mick Rich Contractors has constructed and renovated commercial buildings throughout the state of New Mexico. At the present time we are expanding into Arizona and hope to offer our expertise throughout this great Southwestern state.
